Website Widget
Embed Ragbee chat on any website with one line of script. Visitors ask questions; answers come from your workspace documents, with sources.
What you need
- A Ragbee account with a workspace and documents uploaded
- Edit access to your website's HTML
Setup
- Create the integration. Dashboard → Chatbots → Integrations → New chatbot integration → platform Website → save. Ragbee generates an embed key automatically (it lives in the integration's encrypted credentials).
- Give it a definition. Create a chatbot definition for the integration — its display name and first-message greeting come from the definition.
- Add one line. Paste this before
</body>on your site, with your embed key: ```html
``` 4. Test. Load your site, open the chat bubble, ask a question.
What the widget will and won't answer
The public widget is product-QA scoped: it answers document and knowledge questions from the workspace it's pointed at.
- ✅ Answers grounded in the connected workspace's documents, with sources
- ✅ Custom greeting and bot name from the chatbot definition
- ❌ No personal or account-specific data in public chat — those questions get a friendly pointer to your official support channels (this is by design, per Ragbee's channel policy)
- Rate-limited per visitor; embed keys can be rotated by regenerating the integration
Troubleshooting
- Widget doesn't appear: check the embed key and that the script tag is before
</body>. - "No answer" replies: the workspace may be empty or the question outside the documents — upload more material or refine the definition.
